A native of
Canton, Michigan; Justin Schroeder has quickly become a well known name in the
Michigan short track racing community. Having been racing since the age of eight
years old Justin has gained the respect of sponsors, fans, and his fellow
competitors over the years.
In 1996 Justin
began his racing career racing go karts driving for JMS Racing a family owned
team by mother and father Mike and Lisa Schroeder in who Justin still competes
for to this day. Over the years he compiled championships, numerous wins and,
various accomplishments including multiple “Driver of the Year” honors at many
of Michigan’s various karting tracks.
Then at the
age of just sixteen years old Schroeder made the jump to street stocks at the
quarter-mile ARCA sanctioned track of Flat Rock Speedway. Justin then captured
the “Rookie of the Year” honors at the speedway along with a solid tenth place
points standing finish in his first season of competition. After a few seasons
full of solid top five and top ten finishes the youngster would make the biggest
jump of his career.
With help from
sponsors the JMS Racing team made the jump to the Outlaw Super Late Model ranks
one if not the most competitive racing divisions in the Midwest racing scene.
Justin competed at familiar tracks such as Flat Rock Speedway where he finished
twelfth in the standings in just his first season including picking up a heat
race win in the process. He also tackled the legendary Toledo Speedway; the home
of the ARCA Remax series, were he finished sixth in the Gold Cup standing with
keeping his nose clean and consistency. |
